At UC San Diego, we prefer the path less traveled. And it has led us to remarkable new ways of seeing and making a difference in the world. Our location along the San Diego-Tijuana border gives us a global perspective that unites us with our forward-thinking counterparts in Mexico. These partnerships allow us to pursue the greater good in unconventional fashions: collaborating with academic and research institutions, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to develop interdisciplinary solutions to our world's most urgent problems.

Our programs span UC San Diego, integrating big data and art, genomic medicine and economics, and conservation and community engagement to empower the next generation of changemakers to blaze a new path towards revolutionary ideas, unexpected answers, lifesaving discoveries, and planet-changing impact.
