Travel Information

Attendees must bring a valid passport for travel to Mexico

  • Attendees will need to book their own airfare (up to $400 per person) so that they arrive by noon on the first day of the workshop (June 5 for San Diego). If you are driving, contact Devon Tolliver for more information on reimbursement at dntolliver@ucsd.edu
  • Attendees will need to arrange their own transportation (up to $75) to/from the workshop hotels.
    • San Diego - Marriott La Jolla, 4240 La Jolla Village Dr, La Jolla, CA 92037
  • Attendees will NOT arrange lodging. Workshop organizers have arranged room blocks for attendees. Attendees will need to have a credit card at check-in for incidentals only. Lodging will be covered for two nights (San Diego – June 5 & 6).
  • The following meals will be arranged by workshop organizers
    • Day one - afternoon break and reception
    • Day two - breakfast, breaks, lunch
    • Day three - breakfast and lunch
    • Other meals during travel will not be covered. Travelers should not submit any receipts for meals.
  • A UC San Diego staff member will be attending the first day of each workshop to register travelers into the UC San Diego system. After the workshops, travelers will need to email scans of all receipts to UC San Diego for reimbursement.
